Charscot made the trip to an in form Whitebrook Rangers knowing any loss would drag the team closer to the relegation places.

The team battled hard and came away with a point from a goalless draw that could prove crucial later this season.

The draw leaves the team in 10th, four points clear of the relegation spots.

Manager Rich Grove had little to say post-match. "That was a solid enough display and we need to keep battling on the days when our football is not at it's best".

Behind the scenes Alberto Spencer signed a one year contract extension.
19/12/2022
After a big relegation battle last week The Blue Silver Stadium held a second one this week as Beeston Athletic made the short trip for a local derby involving two of the bottom six sides.

All the goals came in a first half full of action.

A rare goal from Alberto Spencer put the Wolverines ahead on 12 minutes as he lobbed home from distance.

A quarter of an hour later Imre Schlosser doubled the lead with a close range tap in.

Jimenez bundled home from close range on 33 minutes to complete the scoring.

The win keeps Charscot in 10th place as a number of sides at the bottom won their games.

Manager Rich Grove was relieved afterwards. "That was a big win for us and we need to go to Whitebrook next week and try for a third consecutive win to give us some proper breathing space above the relegation places".
12/12/2022
A big match as Charscot welcomed fellow strugglers Shaolin F.C to The Blue Silver Stadium, knowing a win would elevate the club above their rivals and out of the bottom three.

Rafael Gordillo was given the chance to make amends for his own goal that cost the club a point last week and he rewarded that faith with an outstanding performance capped with the only goal of the game.

His close range drive just past the half hour mark was all that was needed to get a hopefully crucial 1-0 win.

The win moved Charscot up to tenth place with the bottom placed club Beeston visiting for a local derby next week.

Manager Rich Grove was relived and cautious after the match. "That was a big win for us but we have to build on that with another win next week as we look to make as much as possible out of our matches against the sides in and around us at the bottom".
05/12/2022
Charscot made the trip to Balham knowing only a defeat would send the team back into the bottom 3. This pressure seemed to tell as the team put in a very poor performance, deservedly losing and plummeting back into a relegation spot.

It started well with Zebeto scoring an exquisite lob after only 5 minutes.

Within 12 minutes The Wolverines were losing after a sliced clearance by Gordillo flew into his own net before Darnell put the hosts ahead.

In truth the visitors did little and were left to rue putting in such a bad performance in such an important match.

Manager Rich Grove was dismayed afterwards. "That was awful to watch and I can only apologise to our fans for failing to put up any fight in a crucial match. We face more struggling teams in the upcoming games and if we keep playing like that we will relegate, have no doubt".

A bad week was compounded as top scorer Zebeto strained his groin and will now miss the next two months.

Rumours of changes to the squad proved true as the manager moved Milot Rashica out of the club with an ex player returning and a trainee due to arrive in a few months from the opal.

Milot joined Kilburn United of the Will Scarlet League and is sure to be a success. Returning in the other direction is former Charscot player Lubo Moravcik.

Lubo's first stint at the club saw him struggle to make his mark, not scoring in 29 appearances. It is hoped he can return to the club with more confidence in front of the net.

Also arriving later this season will be Oliver Burke. The teenager is currently playing in the Chaddesden Celtic youth side and hopefully he will improve before he arrives at the club early next year.

More changes may lie ahead but as things stand no further deals are imminent.
28/11/2022
Charscot welcomed unbeaten league leaders The Academy looking to extend their own unbeaten run to four matches.

The team put in an excellent performance and took the lead on 35 minutes with a Zebeto penalty after a clumsy challenge on Piantoni in the penalty area.

With time running out The Academy got a last gasp equaliser with a close range header to spoil Charscot's chances of an enormous home win as the game finished 1-1.

The point sees Charscot move above next week's opponents Balham Town and out of the relegation places in 13th.

Manager Rich Grove was disappointed with the late goal after the match. "We worked so hard and held onto the lead for so long that the last minute goal really hurts. Before the game a point would have been a good result for us but it is gutting to get so close to what would have been a really big win for us. However, we stay unbeaten as we enter a run of matches against teams in the bottom six and we now need to stay focused and pick up enough points to get away from the relegation places".

In the cup Charscot have been drawn away to local rivals Callie Athletic where The Wolverines will be hoping to replicate the 3-1 road win from a few weeks ago.

Behind the scenes it is believed the manager is looking to offload some players and reduce the training workload. Whether any deals can be found is debatable as the transfer market has dwindled in recent seasons.
21/11/2022
Charscot visited Division One leaders Barton Blitz knowing that if the season ended today Blitz would replace the Wolverines in the top flight so this was not an easy match.

The team put in an excellent performance, dominating for long periods and were rewarded with a 2-1 win and entry into the second round.

Roger Piantoni scored from close range after a scramble on 24 minutes and nine minutes into the second half Zebeto's sweet chip from distance doubled the lead.

Barton got a consolation with five minutes left but never looked like equalising.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was an assured performance in what looked like a tricky match on paper. We need to maintain those levels as we look to drag ourselves away from the bottom three in the coming weeks and months".
14/11/2022
Charscot made the short trip to local rivals Callie Athletic looking to exploit the hosts recent loss of form after a promising start to the season.

An early goal bundled home by Rivellino on 7 minutes got The Wolverines off to an excellent start and they continued to dominate for long periods.

Callie replied on 76 minutes as Hurns hit a spectacular free kick from outside the box.

The visitors continued to attack and the substitutes both proved their worth in the latter stages.

First Bernard Voorhoof scored with a fantastic volley to put Charscot back ahead before his fellow substitute Imre Schlosser tapped home from close range as time expired.

The win keeps the team in 14th place, with the bottom two dropping off of the pace.

Manager Rich Grove was satisfied afterwards. "The performance was a vast improvement on many this season and we need to build on this when we come back to the league in a fortnight's time after a break for the cup next week".

The team lost their final Super Cup game of the season, losing 1-0 at Sporting Academy.
07/11/2022
Charscot welcomed Long Eaton Archers, who had got off to an excellent start this season and lost only once whilst Charscot still only have one win.

In that context the goalless draw will not be a poor result, albeit it leaves the club in the bottom 3.

Manager Rich Grove had little to say post match. "\That was a solid performance, although we had very little success in front of the goal and have to up our game going forward before we find ourselves lost in a relegation battle".

In the Super Cup the team lost 2-0 at Longfield K.L.F to confirm their exit at the group stage with a game left to play.
31/10/2022
Charscot travelled to Spartan Wolf knowing a win would move the team towards mid table safety and any loss could leave the team in deep trouble.

The result was in little doubt as the hosts completely outplayed the Wolverines, who were lucky to only be three down at half time.

The loss dropped the club back into the bottom three as the team has a measly one win after seven games.

Manager Rich Grove was brief post-match. "That was pitiful. If that is the standard we are going to play at then major changes to the squad will be required. As it is there will be a number of changes for next week's match as that was simply unacceptable today".

In the Super Cup the hosts failed to appear for the game at Sporting Academy.
24/10/2022
Charscot welcomed local rivals Rivendell to The Blue Silver Stadium still looking for a first win of the season.

After dominating last week Charscot were far more circumspect but managed to find a much needed winner as Gordillo's 34th minute toe poke was enough to win the match 1-0.

The win moved Charscot into 13th place.

Manager Rich Grove was satisfied afterwards. "Not our best performance by any means but an important win and a much needed clean sheet too. We hopefully can build on this result and try to get an unbeaten run going, preferably with plenty of wins, over the coming weeks".

In the Super Cup the team drew 1-1 at home to Prestatyn Town thanks to a Mild header to stay top of their group with 2 games left.
17/10/2022
Charscot visited unbeaten Prestatyn Town still looking for a first win and based on today the club clearly has zero luck.

The team tore Town apart for long periods, created 25 shooting chances and hit the bar twice whilst losing 2-1.

The harsh loss leaves the team in 14th place.

Manager Rich Grove was very subdued afterwards. "We deserved so much more from today and simply have to keep playing at that level".

In the Super Cup the team won 1-0 against Longfield K.L.F courtesy of a Mild header just after the hour mark.
10/10/2022
Charscot welcomed St Joseph's BC knowing any points gained would be a bonus as BC have started well whilst the Wolverines have struggled and are still winless.

This record is unchanged as the hosts lost 1-0 and dropped into the bottom 3.

Manager Rich Grove was clearly less than happy post match. "Just not good enough. We have gone from an excellent season to a frankly awful one already and clearly changes are needed if we aren't going to have yet another relegation battle".

At this stage tactical changes are more likely than personnel ones but that will change quickly if the players don't put the effort in".

In the Super Cup the team lost 2-1 at home to Sporting Academy to all but end the club's interest after just two matches.
03/10/2022
Charscot travelled to Spondon Phoenix looking to end the hosts' excellent start to the season with 2 wins from 2.

As it was the visitors put in a battling display but are still looking for a first win of the season after another draw.

The 1-1 draw saw both goals scored within seconds of each other with the hosts taking the lead and Rafael Gordillo scoring immediately on the restart with a brilliant free kick.

The draw leaves Charscot still in 11th whilst Spondon dropped two places to fifth.

Manager Rich Grove was slightly subdued afterwards. "The start of the season hasn't been kind to us and we really need to get a morale boosting win soon. Our next match sees us welcome St Joseph's BC, sitting in third place, and will again be a very hard match".

The team played it's first Super Cup match of the season, disappointingly losing 3-0 at Prestatyn Town.
26/09/2022
Charscot hosted Longfield K.L.F in their first home game since returning to the top flight and with The Wolverines having not drawn a home match since they exited the top flight today's goalless draw seemed almost guaranteed.

It wasn't the greatest of matches in truth with neither side playing at their best so early in the season.

The result puts the hosts in 11th place with KLF directly above them as Charscot make the trip to Spondon, winners of both their games so far this season, next week.

Manager Rich Grove was content enough. "That was a solid if not particularly enjoyable game to watch. Always a decent point against Longfield though and we will hope to slow down Spondon next week".
19/09/2022
Charscot started their return to the top flight with a very hard game at Rhyl FC, fresh off of choking on the final day with the title in their grasp.

The Wolverines put in a spirited performance but were found lacking defensively as they lost 3-2.

Gunter Netzer thrived in his new starting role up front, bagging a brace to twice put the visitors ahead.

His first on 18 minuets was a superb 25 yarder whilst his second on 50 minutes was a close range header.

These two sandwiched an equaliser from Juanito.

The introduction of Marc Bustos turned the game on it's head as he scored 2 in the space of four minutes from coming on. His first was his first touch and both goals were close range scrappy goals.

The loss puts Charscot tenth on the opening week.

Manager Rich Grove was slightly disappointed post-match. "That was a valiant effort that on another day could easily have got us the three points. However, the defending has to be better as we can't afford to be letting in so many scrappy goals. The big upside was Gunter Netzer's double. I hoped Gunter would appreciate getting more than half an hour at the end of games and he has got off to a good start. Can only hope he can keep scoring regularly as a starter".

The draw for the S.L.F.A Cup was made with Charscot visiting Division One side Barton Blitz, fresh off of their last day heroics to avoid relegation.

A number of players were given new contracts this week. Planicka, Rial, Rivellino, Svenssen, Zebeto, Voorhoof, Netzer and Gordillo all signed on the dotted line.
12/09/2022
Charscot travelled to Seabourne City knowing a win would guarantee the Division One title with promotion already assured.

The team was below par today though and had to settle for a goalless draw.

For long periods this point looked like being enough with Rivendell having to win at Colwyn Bay to leapfrog the Wolverines and trailing 1-0.

The match turned on an 81st minute own goal that put the teams level and ex Charscot player Jorge Cadete scored a last gasp winner to secure the title for Rivendell.

Manager Rich Grove seemed unfazed afterwards. "All congratulations to Rivendell on the title, we led the league for 25 weeks and never dropped out of the top 3 and that is a top season that I cannot be critical of. We got promotion and that was all that mattered and now we return to the top flight at the first attempt and hopefully we can play the way we did this season with similar results".

With the end of another season it is time for the club's annual awards party.

For the second year running Rivellino has taken the Player of the Year trophy after a great season that saw him lead the scoring charts.

Taking the Young Player of the Year award is attacker Xhiang Xhi. The 16 year old is preparing to leave the club to go to the MOA during next season as part of the big four for one deal that has already seen three players leave the club.

Two players were elected to the club's Hall of Fame - both attackers. Zebeto has shown he can form a fruitful partnership with Rivellino whilst Gunter Netzer is expected to get a run out as a starter next season to see if he can score even more frequently as a starter.

The season saw a club record TWELVE players play in every match this season, with just 14 players used over the whole system. The consistency and lack of injuries is not something to take lightly as it is rare that so few starters get injured.

The team as a unit was involved in some records too.

The record for fewest home draws was zero , achieved in both 2012 and 2017/18, but that record has fallen as the team didn't record a draw all season.

This has meant the record of 11 consecutive home games without a home draw has also fallen, with the record at 15 going into next season.

The goalless draw on week 31 ensured the team also tied to other away records. It was the team's eighth clean sheet on the road, equalling 203/4 and it meant the team conceded just 11 goals away from home, tying 2008/9.
05/09/2022
Charscot travelled to relgated Resolven Rovers on the back of 3 consecutive defeats that left promotion in the balance.

A win would definitely secure promotion, anything less would have left the team requiring a result at a very strong Seabourne City on week 31.

The team loooked nervous at the start but all fears became distant memories as Rivellino scored a six minute brace to put the result in no doubt.

His first was a fine header on 32 minutes, quickly followed by a magnificent drive from 25 yards.

The team played out the remainder of the match knowing promotion was secured as party scenes broke out in the stands.

Results elsewhere mean the team is certain of a top two finish and go into the final week top on goal difference from local rivals Rivendell, who are also promoted.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "What a relief. I am really proud of our players as so many teams relegate and stay in the division for years, like Real Madrid have, so to bounce straight back is a very big deal".

"We now can relax and let next week play out knowing we are back in the top flight. We now need to start preparing for week 1 and look to make a similar sort of start to the one we made this season".
29/08/2022
Charscot welcomed relegation Carnbroe Rovers looking for the win that should see the team promoted. However, Rovers came to The Blue Silver Stadium and won just like their neighbours United did last week.

Charscot dominated for long periods but couldn't find a goal and a goal just before the hour mark gave the visitors victory.

The 1-0 loss means Charscot are now top on goal difference from Rivendell and Callie Athletic with Colwyn Bay two points behind in fourth.

A win at relegated Resolven Rovers would see CHarscot promoted but with 3 consecutive losses a win seems unlikely.

Manager Rich Grove was close to quitting afterwards. "This is turning into an ugly end to the season and a failure to promote will leave me wondering if I should continue. We now have to go to Rovers and win, simple as that".
22/08/2022
Charscot welcomed relegation threatened Carnbroe United to The Blue Silver Stadium for the first time in the club's history looking to win and put the team on the verge of promotion.

United had quite a different attitude thuogh and turend the hosts over, deservedly winning 3-1 to give themselves an excellent chance of staying up whilst also putting a severe dent in the promotion hopes of the hosts.

It all started so well with Rivellino scoring with a sublime lob barely two minutes into the match.

The visitors got a deserved equaliser on 38 minutes before taking control in the 62nd minute.

A last gasp goal extended the size of the win as Charscot's players left the field to a chorus of booing from the fans who had come to celebrate.

The loss leaves the team 3 points clear at the top with 3 games to go and with a large goal difference advantage. With second and third to face each other on the final day one win may be enough  alhtough the team will want the security of a fourth point in the next couple of games.

Manager Rich Grove was fuming afterwards. "That was a pathetic display at a time when we had to maintain our levels. All credit to United who deserved their win. We simply have to do better over the coming weeks or else our efforts this seaosn could all be for nothing".
15/08/2022
Charscot travelled to local rivals Vanbrugh Royals hoping to avenge a 3-0 home loss earlier this season.

However the team put in a poor performance, deservedly going down 2-0.

Results elsewhere were kind to The Wolverines as none of the 3 main chasing clubs won and only one of them even gained a point. This leaves Charscot 6 points clear with four games to go and with a vastly better goal difference.

The team now host the two Carnbroe sides over the coming fortnight before going to rock bottom Resolven and promotion chasing Seabourne to finish the season.

Manager Rich Grove was unimpressed. "That was not a performance that I ever want to see again as we never really got going at all and the 2-0 defeat is not one we can complain about. We now simply have to beat Carnbroe United to keep the gap at at least 6 and put us on the verge of promotion".

A couple of players left the club thsi week with Jeter Downs joinging Wascisco Red Sox and Nicolo Zaniolo joining Avlon Villa as part of the Aaron Hourihane deal.
08/08/2022
Charscot had their biggest derby in many years as they welcomed visiting Callie Athletic to The Blue Silver Stadium. Athletic sat in second place three points behind Charscot as we enter the run in.

With Callie having won earlier this season pride was at stake as The Wolverines looked to build up a lead with five games left after today.

The hosts then proceded to put on a brilliant display as they tore Callie apart with some excellent football.

It took just two minutes for Rivellino to score with a quality lob from 18 yards.

He scored his second shortly before half time with a drive from the edge of the box.

Early in the second half Zebeto hit a spectacular 30 yarder to make it 3-0.

Substitute Gunter Netzer scored from close range before Callie scored with the last kick of the game.

Charscot now have a 6 point lead on second, 7 clear of fourth and with a goal difference that is as good as another point. With five games to go promotion should be secured within a couple of weeks if the team maintains it's current levels.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was as good a performance as I can recall seeing. We have been excellent through long parts of the season and htis result should take us a lot closer to a quick fire return to the top flight. We now go to Vanbrugh looking to avoid any costly defeats".

Behind the scenes Aaron Hourihane arrived as part of the Nicolo Zaniolo deal. Zaniolo will leave the club next week for Avlon.
01/08/2022
Charscot made the trip to struggling Barton Blitz knowing a win was crucial with a big challenge coming next week against second placed Callie Athletic.

The performance in the circumstances was very impressive as the Wolverines won 3-1 to stay 3 points clear of Callie and six points clear of fourth with six games left in the season.

22 minutes in Alberto Spencer scored his second career goal with a magnificent header.

Despite the away team's dominance it took over 50 morem inutes for the second goal as defender Baldur Syr  headed into his own net.

Vigier got a goal for the hosts six minutes later in a rare attack but Zebeto ensured the win three minutes later with another fine header.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "I felt we had to change things as our away results had not been good enough for quite some time so for the team to put in such a good performance after the tactical changes is very rewarding".

"We go into next week's game knowing a win would be an enormous step to promotion and even a draw wouldn't be an awful result".

Behind the scenes the manager put in motion the ifrst steps towards the future arrival of the midfielder from Mos Eisley in the MOA next season as 3 players joined Mos - Arto Tolsa, Rafael Zorin and Stan Carpenter. One more will move in the deal when the foreign player moves with Xiang Xhi arriving.
25/07/2022
Charscot welcomed Dep El Celtico looking to record a double and stay top of the division.

Whilst dominating the play Charscot had to rely on Rivellino's spectacular shot on the half hour mark for the win and the three points.

The win keeps the team top and extedned the gap to fourth to six points with seven games left.

Manager Rich Grove was relieved post-match. "I expected a hard derby match today and we had to work hard to record the vicory. We now face a run of tricky matches beginning at relegation threatened Barton Blitz next week.
18/07/2022
Charscot visited Real Madrid, unbeaten in ten but firmly stuck in the drawing most games situation knowing even a point could be crucail come the end of the season.

However Luis Hernandez scored in the tenth minute to beat a Charscot side that huffed and puffed whilst well below their best.

The 1-0 loss leaves Charscot just a point clear of second and a win clear of fourth with eight games left.

Manager Rich Grove was unimpressed. "That was poor from us. Real didn't do a lot but they did enough to get the win as we struggled to create the usal quality of chances. We now have a local derby at home to Dep El Celtico and we will need to beat a team that have won at our place on their last two visits".
11/07/2022
Charscot welcomed Ynysfawr Athletic to The Blue Silver Stadium knowing anything less than a win against the bottom side in the division would be crucial points dropped.

In that context the controlled performance from the hosts was exactly what was needed as the team was dominant, not allowing a single shot on target from Athletic as they recorded a solid 2-0 win to go four points clear at the top and six points clear of fourth with nine games remaining.

Shortly before halftime Svenssen kneed home from close range to open the scoring.

The lead was doubled by substitute Rafael Gordillo who drove home from the edge of the area on 79 minutes.

Manager Rich Grove was pleased but warned against getting complacent. "That was a strong performance but we need to be wary of dropping our standards in the coming weeks as we face a number of very hard games, starting at Real Madrid next week, a side that haven't lost in the last two months".

Behind the scenes Faas Wilkes left the club via the auction market as A.F.C Binfield came in with a last gasp bid to swoop for the versatile player.

The manager rewarded those players he has been happy with as six players were given contract renewals.
04/07/2022
Charscot and Colwyn Bay met on the back of 3 game winning runs for each club so it came as little surprise that the two sides cancelled each other out at The Bay today and had to settle for a goalless draw.

The result keeps Charscot top, one point ahead of Callie Athletic and five points clear of fourth place with ten games remaining.

Manager Rich Grove was happy afterwards. "This was always going to be a tricky match so a point is far from a disappointment and hopefully we can stay unbetaen and return to winning ways when we welcome bottom side Ynysfawr Athletic to our place next week".

A quieter week behind the scenes most fans are watching the market with Faas Wilkes selling this week.
27/06/2022
The Wolverines welcomed Athletico Academy to The Blue Silver Stadium for an enormous match with the hosts looking to cement their place at the top against a side with just one defeat all season.

The visitors were hard to break down but Charscot prevailed and won 1-0 thanks to a Rivellino header on 55 minutes.

Results went in favour of Charscot allowing them to open up a three point lead at the top and a five point gap to fourth place with 11 games remaining.

Manager Rich Grove was in good spirits afterwards. "That was just what we needed, extending our winning run to 3 games and giving us a small amount of breathing room at the top after what had been a period of struggling. We face a big trip to form side Colwyn Bay next week and if we return with any points that will be a good result for us".

Faas Wilkes enters the final 10 days on the auction market with no bids yet but bids expected by this time next week.
20/06/2022
A trip to struggling Wascisco Red Sox is the sort of match the Wolverines have fallern short in in the past as the team looked to get a new winning run going on the back of last week's win.

Wascisco took the lead after just 7 minutes and it took a second half comeback to save Charscot.

Zebeto hit a fine equaliser on 58 minutes before Aldo Duscher tapped home 13 monutes later to secure the 2-1 away win.

The win sent the team back to the top of the division but just 3 points clear of fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove was satisfied afterwards. "Not a great performance by any means but we fought hard to secure the three points and if we can keep showing that amount of resolve we hopefully can make a success of the season".
13/06/2022
Charscot were desperate for a win after a poor run of late with goals proving hard to come by.

Avlon Villa made their first ever visit to The Blue Silver Stadium and seemed overawed as they succumbed to a 4-1 thrashing.

Hakan Mild's 26th minute free kick gave the hosts a 1-0 lead at half time and the second half saw the substitutes make all the difference as they scored two and created the third.

Rafael Gordillo's free kick on the hour mark after a foul on Gunter Netzer doubled the lead before Rafael Gordillo scored himself from a free kick on 70 minutes.

Netzer got his fifth goal off of the bench for the season with a close range effort on 83 minutes before Villa got a 86th minute consolation goal.

The win saw the team move into second place and close to within a point of leaders Callie Athletic who lost their first game of the season with a 4-0 home thrashing.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "This was really needed and we have to build on this with us facing a derby match at Wascisco next week. Anything less than a win is unacceptable at this stage of the season, particularly against a side struggling for points".

Faas Wilkes was placed on the auction market today.
06/06/2022
Charscot have fallen apart in the past couple of months and a trip to local rivals Rivendell, firing after a poor start that included a 5-1 thrashing by Charscot on opening day was not what The Wolverines wanted.

The hosts got their revenge as Charscot looked poor, succumbing to a 3-0 defeat that dropped Charscot below Rivendell and only ahead of Seabourne on goal difference, barely holding on to a promotion spot.

Manager Rich Grove was not seen post match after spending an hour in the dressing room venting at his team and he sent a brief statement to the press.

"The levels expected at this club have not been met in recent weeks and we need to turn things around before we lose any hope of promotion. The players need to improve their attitude and performances or expect to be replaced".

The team followed up with a respectable performance at top flight A.F.C Binfield in the cup.

The team took the lead through a Zebeto solo goal and the team ended up drawing 1-1 after extra time and lost 3-2 on penalties.

The performance was deserving of a win and at least gives the fans some hope going forward.

The club confirmed that Faas Wilkes will be placed on the auction market next Monday.
30/05/2022
Charscot have been struggling of late despite going into today's match top of Division One and the visit of Seabourne City, 3rd and just four points begind The Wolverines was not a match the manager would have chosen to have had at this stage of the season as we reach halfway.

After ex-player Sindelar scored to give City the lead Charscot turned things around as Thorbjorn Svenssen kneed home just past the half hour mark and Alberto Spencer claimed his first career goal with a close range flick in the first minute of the second half.

However, the visitors were to bounce back to win with a superb last 20 minutes as a contentious penalty was followed yb a late Arnaldo goal.

The result leaves Charscot in second place, justr a point ahead of City and next week's rivals Rivendell. The bright start is a distant memory and the seaosn is on the verge of imploding.

Manager RIch Grove was fuming afterwards. "We have been awful of late and I have had enough. The players need to show they can return to our excellent early season form starting with our trip to Rivendell who are looking for revenge after the 5-1 drubbing we gave them back on week 1".

"We have to win, simple as that".

To add to the team's woes they lost 2-1 at home to Andelain to exit the WPL Super Cup in the quarter-finals.

Finally, the squad will be reducing next week with Faas Wilkes expected to go on the market.
23/05/2022
Charscot welcomed Resolven Rovers knowing anything less than a win would be a poor result with Rovers struggling to compete in Division One and looking sure of relegation.

Rovers played very defensively with 10 men behind the ball at most times and despite the home side dominating the game lacked a goal at half time.

The final half hour saw the hosts get the goals their approach play deserved.

Josef Bican scored a fine solo goal after breaking through a poor offside trap just past the hour mark.

Milivoje Novakovic chipped home expertly three minutes later from outsdie the box to double the score and end the game as a contest.

With three minutes left substitute Imre Schlosser toe poked home to make it 3-0.

The win keeps the team top on goal difference and four points clear of fourth as the team faces third and fourth in the next two matches.

Manager Rich Grove was satisfied afterwars. "It can always be hard when the opponent plays for the draw but we were patient and got our rewards. We now have an enormous fortnight as we face two of the main three clubs chasing us and we simply cannot afford any defeats and ideally really need two wins".

More deals completed as the multi team deal completed with Cesar Cueto joining the youth team. He is expected to spend next season out on loan and by then be close enough in ability to challenge for a first team place.
16/05/2022
Charscot failed to score for the third time in four matches and had to settle for a goalless draw at Carnbroe Rovers.

The draw meaves the team top just on goal difference from unbeaten Callie AThletic as the pack has closed right up after Charscot had had a large lead just a month ago.

Manager Rich Grove was a dejected figure afterwards. "We seem to have losto ur way of late and we now have to try and build up a gap again starting with the visit of Resolven Rovers next week".

In the Super Cup Charscot drew 0-0 at local rivals Andelain in the first leg of their quarter-finals.

Lubo Moravcik had been expected to go on the auction market but a large multi team deal has saeen him leave the club and join Kilburn United of the WS. Charscot's parts of the deal see Nicolo Zaniola arrive via Andelain, who had been holding Zaniola for Dep El Celtico, along with the arrival this coming week of a youth star from Chaddesden Celtic of the Opal league.

It is now expected that Faas Wilkes will replace Moravcik on the auction market in the coming weeks.

With back to back losses the team travelled to Carnbroe United for a first ever league meeting knowing a win was needed to guarantee staying top of the division.

The manager made changes, replacing the two midifelders who had failed to contribute a single goal betwen them and was rewarded with their replacements both scoring in a 4-0 win.

Bernard Voorhoof kneed home from close range after only six minutes on his season debut to open the scoring.

The game wasn't over as a contest until the 56th minute when Hakan Mild tapped in from close range.

Within 11 minutes the scoreline had doubled as first Rafael Gordillo, with an exquisite lob and then Zebeto with a close range shot scored to make it 4-0.

The win keeps the team top and now 6 points clear of fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove was ectsatic afterwards. "We really needed that performance after a bad couple of weeks. I am very pleased to see Bernard and Rafael score on their introductions into the starting eleven and can only hope they can keep scoring going forward."

"We have to keep winning games with so many quality sides chasing us down and so many games still left this season".

In the Super Cup the team is preparing for a 2 leg showdown with local rivals Andelain next week.

Behind the scenes it was confirmed that Lubo Moravcik will be listed on the market in 2 weeks' time. Lubo needs a fresh start after having struggled to make an impression at Charscot.
02/05/2022
After last week's derby loss Charscot returned home to face another derby with Vanbrugh Royals the visitors.
The Royals had just one win in this fixture, way back in 2009 but past history clearly had no effect as the league leaders crumbled to a 3-0 loss.

Charscot were woeful, creating little and the result was never in doubt once Vanbrugh took a 28th minute lead.

The loss leaves Charscot just two points clear at the top and only three points ahead of fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove was unimpressed with his players afterwards. "That was simply awful and won't be accepted. We have been spluttering of late and whilst I have remained loyal to the starting line up this will end now with changes definitely being made for our trip to Carnbroe United."

The team did save some face by overturning a 1-0 deficit to Teesside Reds thanks to a Rivellino brace to move into the quarter-finals.

One new arrival as a youth attacker arrived via the auction market.
25/04/2022
It was the battle of the top two, neither of which had suffered a loss this season as leaders Charscot visited local rivals Callie Athletic in second place.

Charscot dominated the match but their shooting was wayward and Callie made the most of their opponent's wasted chances, scoring two goals and ending Charscot's unbeaten start.

A goal in each half left Charscot top but with just a six point gap to Callie in second and the chasing pack below them.

Manager Rich Grove was disappointed afterwards. "Obviously not the result we were looking for and some of the players need to up their performances, particularly the midfielders who have failed to score the goals required so far this season. We now need to bounce back next week in another derby as we welcome Vanbrugh Royals".

The team lost the first leg on their second round game in the Super Cup as visiting Teesside Reds won 1-0.

The draw for the second round of the S.L.F.A. Cup was also made with Charscot facing a trip to top flight A.F.C Binfield.
18/04/2022
Blackheath Tigers visited The Blue Silver Stadium with nothing to lose as they looked for a shock win in the cup in their first ever meeting with Charscot.

With Charscot unbeaten in the league the distraction of the cup was not ideal but the team took the visitors to the sword in the second half after the Tigers did very well to go into half time goalless.

Hakan Mild's brilliant free kick on 55 minutes ended the nervousness of the hosts and 12 minutes later Zebeto's rising header doubled the lead.

Another twelve minutes passed before substitute Gunter Netzer headed in from close range to complete the scoring.

Manager Rich Grove was satisifed afterwards. "That was a solid performance. We were on to a hiding to nothing but did a professional job and will look forward to the draw next week. We now have to focus on an enormous match at Callie next week in the cup".
11/04/2022

Charscot welcomed struggling Barton Blitz knowing this game would be a tricky one with the Blitz having won their previous two matches after a struggling start to the season.

The match was quickly over as a contest as Rivellino took the game by the scruff of the neck. It took him 90 seconds to open the scoring with a fine lob from the edge of the area.

A little over 20 minutes later he doubled the lead with a fine diving header.

Barton got a scrappy goal from Mason to halve the deficit by half time.

Charscot continued to dominate and were rewarded with a quality drive from Imre Schlosser to make it 3-1.

The win extended the team's lead at the top of the division to six points and nine clear of fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "Barton have a habit of surprising high flying clubs so this was a big win as we go into the cup week break next week. All eyes will be focused on our match with second placed Callie the following week".

04/04/2022

Charscot visited local rivals Dep El Celtico knowing a win could provide a large cushion to fourth place with the top 6 squaring off this week.

The hosts sat in fourth looking to close the gap and end Charscot's unbeaten start to the season.

The match started well for the visitors as Luis Rekarte deflected a tame shot past his own keeper for an own goal on 13 minutes.

The hosts equalised on 57 minutes from a Ostolaza toe poke from close range.

The visitors continued to dominate proceedings and Hakan Mild restored the lead with a lose range drive with 11 minutes remaining.

As the match went into time added on Rekarte handled on the line and substitute Gunter Netzer scored his second penalty as a sub this season to complete the scoring in a 3-1 road victory.

The win saw Charscot move 4 points clear of second and 8 points clear of fourth place after 8 matches.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was an excellent performance against a top side and our brilliant start to the season continues for another week. We now host a rejuvenated Barton Blitz who have reacted well to a poor start with back to back wins, so this will not be an easy match for us".

To cap off a good week Charscot went into their final Super Cup group match knowing a win at Requiem Shark would see the team win the group after starting with 2 losses. A frustrating 0-0 draw opened the door for the winners of Longfield v Colwyn Bay to snatch top spot but a 1-1 draw meant Charscot won the group and move on to the second round.

28/03/2022

Charscot welcomed Real Madrid to The Blue Silver Stadium knowing they had a lot to lose in this match up of teams expected to challenge for promotion this season.

The two teams had wildly different starts with Charscot unbeaten and Real Madrid taking six games to record a win. This form was to be reflected in today's match as Charscot proved far more deadly in front of the goal.

A blatant handball gave Hakan Mild the opportunity to score from the spot on 26 minutes.

The lead lasted only a minute as Wayne Calver equalised from the kick off with a brilliant shot from distance.

The game as a contest was decided in a manic 44th minute. Mild scored his second with a Goal of the Season contender, brilliantly swerving the ball in from nearly 40 yards.

From the kick off Real lost the ball allowing Milivoje Novakovic to score a sublime lob from 30 yards to make it 3-1.

On 64 minutes Novakovic, fresh from being told by the Ream manager he couldn't score, scored his second from close range to make it 4-1.

With ten minutes left Charscot old boy Anton Schall headed in nicely to make it 4-2 and immediately requested he be brought back to Charscot as he doesn't want to play Division Two football next season.

The win moved Charscot two points clear at the top and six points clear of fourth placed Dep EL who they play next week.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was a great result. We were far off of our best but still managed to score four goals against a top quality side, albeit one that is badly managed !", he chuckled.

In the Super Cup the team's recovery continued as the team trailed by two early on at Longfield KLF before Gunter Netzer scored a hat trick off of the bench to keep the team top of the group. A win at Requiem Shark next week will see the team win the group and progress to the knock out stages.

21/03/2022

Charscot made the trip to struggling Ynysfawr Athletic looking to avoid a first defeat of the season and and giving Athletic their first win.

The team weren't as in control as they have been of late but a Zebeto brace was enough for a 2-0 win that keeps Charscot top on goal difference and extended the lead to fourth place to six points at this early stage.

The brace came via a scrambled tap in and a solo goal following a mazy run on 20 and 59 minutes.

The clean sheet extended Frantisek Planicka's run of clean sheet matches to five and has in third place all time for the club and a clean sheet next week will give him the longest run in club history.

However, the match against visiting Real Madrid will be as hard a match as the team may face this season.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was a solid performance, not at our complete best but it is important to win when not firing on all cylinders and this augurs well for the rest of the season. We now enter a period of very tricky matches with it starting with the visit of Real Madrid next week. Despite their poor start they are still very much a promotion challenger and this match will be very hard and a win for us would be enormous".

In the Super Cup the team beat Colwyn Bat 2-0 with a Hakan Mild brace and after being pointless just two weeks ago and rock bottom the team are now top of their group with two games to play in the group stage. Two wins will see the team progress.

14/03/2022

Charscot welcomed Colwyn Bay for the first time in a battle of third v fourth that ended up being a far more one-sided battle than the table indicated.

The hosts simply tore Bay apart and the 3-0 scoreline could easily have been far more.

Colwyn generously gave Charscot the lead as Fabinho sliced a clearance into his own net on 13 minutes.

Shortly after half time a blatant handball from Lineker gave Zebeto the chance to double the lead from the penalty spot, which he did in style.

With a couple of minutes left another handball, this time from Rudy allowed substitute Gunter Netzer to score from the penalty spot.

The 3-0 win sent Charscot back to the top of the division and five points clear of fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove was very happy after the match. "That was another superb home performance, and if we can maintain these levels we can have a very good season but it is still early days and we need to keep working hard."

In the Super Cup the team kept alive their slim hopes of progression by beating Requiem Shark 2-1 with goals from Novakovic and Bican. The team realistically needs to win the next 3 cup games to progress.

07/03/2022

Charscot travelled to Athletico Academy defending a winning start to the season against a host that had drawn all their games 0-0.

That run continued for Athletico as a fairly dull match finished goalless.

The draw dropped Charscot from top to third place after four matches.

Manager Rich Grove  was disappointed afterwards. "Always disappointing to see a winning run end, albeit we are still looking strong defensively but an unbeaten start after 4 games is still decent."

"We now host Colwyn Bay who are directly below us in the league next week and a win would be enormous even at this early stage".

Behind the scenes Svante Ingelsson completed his sale to Korova Milk of the NSA for just north of £ 21 million.

In the Super Cup the team already looks unlikely to progress as they lost 2-0 at home to Longfield K.L.F.

28/02/2022

Second home game of the season and a second home derby at this early stage. Visiting Wascisco Red Sox had only taken one point so far this season and their low confidence was on sight for all to see as the Wolverines dominated the match.

The Sox had just one shot on target whilst the hosts won 2-0 thanks to two goals from defence as the team now has eight different goalscorers after only 3 games.

Aldo Duscher headed in beautifully on 14 minutes and another hour passed before Thorbjorn Svenssen toe poked home to ensure the home win.

The 2-0 win keeps the team top of the division on goal difference from Callie Athletic and a 3 point gap to 3rd.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was a tricky match as local derbies always are so to win so convincingly was a relief. If we can keep playing like this we can have a great season but thee is a lot of work ahead before we can relax at all".

In the Super Cup the manager gave the fringe players a opportunity to shine at Colwyn Bay but the players put in a poor performance losing 2-0.

Behind the scenes more deals were completed with the arrival of Aatos Lehtonen from Spartan Wolf.

New signing Arto Tolsa will be sent out on loan to Andelain next week to get some game time whilst Svante Ingelsson has a mere 3 days left on the auction market before they leave the club.

21/02/2022

Today the club faced Avlon Villa for the first time in a league match.

The only previous meeting was a second round cup tie won 1-0 by Charscot at Avlon some 5 years ago.

Charscot were looking to go top at this very early stage of the season and came away with a 2-0 win that moved the team into top spot.

Rivellino scored his second of the season on 20 minutes with a brilliant chip from 35 yards.

It took the Wolverines until the 81st minute to double the lead with a fine Hakan Mild header from 18 yards.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "This is exactly the sort of performance that is needed if promotion is to be secured. A solid performance with the defence looking strong and the attackers scoring. We need to maintain our current level over the long term starting with the derby against Wascisco next week".

Two players for the future are arriving at the club with Aulis Rytkonen arriving via the auction market today and Aatos Lehtonen arriving from Spartak Wolf next week. Both are seen as long term prospects.

14/02/2022

A new season and opening day saw the team host a side managed by the manager who relegated Charscot a week ago.

The visit of local rivals Rivendell was an unknown quantity with no meetings in a few seasons and all started badly as Rivendell took the lead with what was to be their only shot on target in the match.

However the Wolverines fought back quite brilliantly, blitzing 5 goals into the net and hitting the bar in a demonstration of football that the fans can only hope will be maintained this season.

Rivellino bundled home on 37 minutes before Imre Schlosser, returning to the line-up after a break of almost 2 seasons hit a perfect lobbed shot from 30 yards to put the team ahead with the last kick of the first half.

With 16 minutes remaining Milivoje Novakovic celebrated his return to Charscot after a brief miserable time at Real Madrid with a fine drive from the edge of the area to make it 3-1.

Four minutes later Zebeto hit a magnificent 30 yarder to make it 4-1.

The scoring was wrapped up when substitute Gunter Netzer scored from close range with nine minutes left on the clock.

Albeit opening day the fans will be delighted to be second and can only hope today's match is a sign of the football ahead this season as the team looks to bounce back from a disastrous season.

Manager Rich Grove was beaming after the match. "That was brilliant to watch and it feels like I finally have a line up I can have faith in to play the football we crave.  Of course it is only one match and this game has a habit of kicking you back down just when you are at the peak so there is no danger of anyone geting carried away but we should also enjoy this performance and hope this is the standard we can reproduce often this season".

The draw for the first round of the S.L.F.A Cup was made and the team will host local rivals Blackheath Tigers of Division 3 in April.

07/02/2022

A truly atrocious season all came down to a derby match at already relegated Vanbrugh Royals.

A win and Charscot stay up, anything less and relegation was likely with the two other relegation candidates at home and likely to win.

The match started poorly as the team were losing after four minutes.

Zebeto hit a spectacular 25 yard hot to equalise on 33 minutes.

As half time approached the team failed to clear a hopeful pass and ex-Charscot player Callum Wilson scored to give the hosts a lead they would retain.

With both rivals scoring 3 goals in easy home wins the relegation was confirmed and Charscot find themselves in Division One next season.

"No less than we deserved" Manager Rich Grove stated afterwards. "We have been awful for the bulk of the season, with our home form simply embarrassing and this relegation has been coming for a while now."

"At this point I do not know if I will continue as manager as relegating with this squad is not something that can be defended and my enthusiasm for the job has evaporated. Whether there is any point in my continuing as manager is questionable to put it mildly. If I do stay I have little faith this squad can bounce back starting at home to Rivendell next week".

The team's relegation can be seen in two records the club has equalled this season. Recording a low of just 3 home wins and losing 15 games is a clear sign things are not right at the club.

The club went through the motions of having the Post-season party to allocate rewards after the match.

Joining the Hall of Fame are Rivellino and Roger Piantoni whilst Rivellino also took the Player of the year award for his excellent first season in the attack as joint top scorer with 9 goals.

Likewise Sean Allfrey took the Youth Player award on the same day he was placed on the market after he broke the all time youth team scoring record.

More changes as Svante Ingelsson wasp laced on the auction market whilst Christian Pulisic will sell at the end of this week.

All in all a horrible season and whether the manager is still in the game only time will tell.

31/01/2022
Charscot finished the home part of their seaosn knowing that a win was really needed. However, with no home wins in over three months this seemed unlikely against a Shaolin side that has proven hard opponents in recent seasons.

The task looked even more formidable as Shaolin raced into a two goal lead early on with two goals in a four minute spell after only 17 minutes.

The Wolverines looked in deep trouble at this point but two recent arrivals in the first team line up were to prove crucial in the fight back.

Roger Piantoni, playing his second game after an early promotion from the youth squad, scored with a close range side foot shot on 59 minutes.

Substitute Bernard Voorhoof scored his first career goal 12 mninutes later with a superb volley from ten yards to equalise.

It had ben expected that Bernard was just filling in until the new season when he was expeted to go out on loan. It has to be wondered if he is forcing a change of heart from his manager.

The 2-2 draw saw the team move up to 12th place going into the final week, one point clear of Beeston AThletic and ahead of Spondon on goal difference.

Both those clubs finish at home whilst Charscot have a derby match at relegated Vanbrugh Royals.

Manager Rich Grove was relieved afterwards. "The first half was a nightmare for the team as the pressure of playing at home really got to them. However, we responded brilliantly in the second half to get what could prove to be a crucial point. We now make the short trip to Vanbrugh looking for the win we need to ensure we stay up".

Just one week after arriving at the club Sandro Tonali finds himself on the move again as Real Madrid came in with an offer the manager felt was in the club's best interests.

Returning after 5 weeks away is midfielder Milivoje Novakovic in exchange for Sandro. Milivoje had a nightmare month at Real, playing in 4 matches, all of which were lost by Real leaving their maanger feeling he may not be the luckiest player.
24/01/2022
Charscot visited The Academy knowing last season's 2-0 win in this fixture was very unlikely with the hosts in the middle of a title fight and Charscot struggling at the wrong end of the table.

The previous six matches had finished 1-0 to the hosts and that pattern was returned to as an 8th minute penalty from Falco was enough to beat Charscot 1-0.

With the other two relegation candidates also losing 1-0 the tension increases going into the final two matches of the season.

Manager Rich Grove was frustrated afterwards. "We were poor today but also very close to getting what could be a crucial point. One mistake early on cost us dearly and we now face two matches that will determine whetehr we will have a calamitous relegation".

More changes to the squad as the remaining parts of deals from earlier this season are being completed this week with Sandro Tonali and Milot Rashica arriving at the club.

The two teenage midfielders are expected to spend next season out on loan sharpening their skills.
17/01/2022
Charscot hosted relegation rivals looking to stay ahead of their rivals who trailed by 3 points.

However, a poor display cost the team dearly as despite taking an early lead the Wolverines lost and allowed Athletic to leapfrog them on goal difference.

It all started brightly as Rivellino hit a spectacular volley from close range to open the scoring 6 minutes in.

However a bizarre lobbed own goal by Kylian Mbappe four minutes later was quickly followed five minutes later by Schick's 25 yard shot to give the visitors a lead they never looked like losing.

Manager Roch Grove was fuming afterwards. "We have worked hard in recent weeks to give ourselves every chance of surviving and we have thrown it all away this week. We now face two exceptionally hard matches knowing we are likely to be relegated with a week to spare if as expected we fail to win either. Our home form has been an embarrassment and we can only blame ourselves for our situation".

"To say I am disgusted with the squad would be an understatement. They have shown nothing like the quality they claim to have."

The manager's anger at the generally poor performances this season have resulted in him looking to the future with a smaller squad which hopefully will ensure only those who perform at the required standard are at the club.

With Roger Piantoni getting an early promotion to the first team squad this week the manager made space in the squad by immediately placing Christian Pulisic on the auction market. Christian's future at the club was murky at best after he spoke too candidly about his manager and players at a fan's meet and greet last week.

Also leaving the club this week are the bulk of the latest crop of 17 year olds with the midfield all disappearing in one go.
10/01/2022
Charscot visited decimated local rivals Dep El Celtico knowing they simply had to win or else accept relegation was likely.

As it was The Wolverines put in a solid performance recording a 3-0 win which saw the team leapfrog 2 sides and move into 12th place on gola difference.

Aldo Duscher headed in from five yards after 12 minutes to open the scoring, with Rivellino doubling the lead on 36 minutes with a close range tap in.

Hakan Mild hit a close range drive on 54 minutes to finish the scoring.

Manager Rich Grove was satisfied but wary afterwards. "That was another great road performance but we simply have to find a way to win at home, having failed to do that in the last 3 months. If we can beat Beeston next week we will be in a strong position but anything less than a win and it will be a precarious position going into the final 3 games".

Two players quickly on the move this week are Neviani and Silcocks, who have both arrived today but will move on to pastures new next week, joining Dep El and Wascisco respectively.
03/01/2022
Charscot's recent two game winning run came to an end as the team's home troubles continued. With 3 draws and 6 defeats now from the last 9 home games the home form is looking like sending the team down.

The team went behind early against Whitebrook today before Zebeto's fine 25 yard shot on the half hour mark drew the teams level.

An open match that neither side really deserved to lose leaves Charscot back in the bottom 3 on goal difference and the team faces the teams either side of them in the league over the next two games, which will go a long way to deciding what happens to the side.

Manager Rich Grove was deflated afterwards. "We have to turn around our home form with just two home games remaining, as htis is going to send us down. We now go to Dep El next week before hosting Beeston the week after and anything less than 6 points and our future looks set to be in Division One".

Behind the scenes more deals are in hand as the club sent Rob Rensenbrink to Spondon Phoenix. Arriving this week will be two players, who will be immediately sold on next week for a financial profit. Part of the deal sees Ostergaard no longer going to Chad in the Opal and he is expected to move elsewhere in the next month.
