Charscot continue to fail miserably on the pitch as they lost easily 3-0 at Seabourne City. The match was over within the first six minutes as woeful defending gifted away two goals and the third goal on 72 minutes was just icing on the cake for hosts Seabourne City.

The result leaves the team rooted to bottom spot and still pointless.

Manager Rich Grove had little to say after the match. "Another abysmal performance, I have just about given up on this squad frankly".

In the Super Cup the team drew 1-1 at  The Academy.

A busy week behind the scenes as the manager made changes in the hope that the club can become better defensively.

Juanito Alonso, sent off in his second game for the club was sent to Revelstone in the Robin Hood league. Arriving in return is experienced keeper Eike Immel. It is hoped he can provide a steady pair of hands going forward.

Also arriving via the auction market from Select XI of the BS league is Mo Keyper. The 20 year old has cost £ 8,100,000 a price that the club will be delighted with if he can provide better stability between the sticks.

Finally, Alban Lafont has joined Ziaste Nequeno, where it is hoped he will get game time.
18/12/2023
Charscot are in deep trouble after their season continues to lack any promise. The team lost again this week, going a fourth week without a point, a start that has never happened at the club before.

The latest loss, a 2-0 reverse at home to local rivals Rivendell left the fans booing at the final whistle. Unlike the previous losses this performance was a poor one with the visitors proving far more creative.

The team of course stay in bottom spot and will find it hard to get out of the bottom 3 without a very quick improvement in form.

Manager Rich Grove was furious afterwards. "This is the most pathetic squad I have ever seen, plenty of talent, no ability to actually perform though I am very close to walking away as clearly the club is going nowhere but down again if this continues and for a club this size that is simply not acceptable".

"I will be looking at how we can change things to try and get something approaching a decent performance but right now it feels like we have no hope".

The team did get a goalless draw in the Super Cup at Beeston Athletic but so much work is needed.

It is rumoured keeper Alonso will be joining Revelstone with Eike Immel joining in exchange this coming week.
11/12/2023
Charscot's need for a point this season is now becoming desperate as despite another dominating performance the team ended up losing the game down to one player's dumb actions.

The trip to Prestatyn Town was always going to be hard but with both sides yet to record a point this was a chance to get the season finally off and running.

The team put in a superb performance, leading 1-0 through a tap in from Rafael Gordillo on 33 minutes.

The result looked certain until goalkeeper Juanito Alonso, in only his second appearance for the club, get a straight red card for dissent on 64 minutes.

The team tried to hold out but conceded goals in the 82nd and 85th minutes to lose a game they would have won.

The loss leaves Charscot as the only top flight side yet to record a point and the visit of Rivendell becomes a must win game.

Manager Rich Grove was fuming afterwards. "That was beyond dumb from Juanito. We pride ourselves on our discipline, not having had a red card in a decade. He has made my decision an easy one as he will not play for the club again and will be sold in the next few weeks. I already have my eyes on a possible replacement for him who hopefully will join next week".

Alonso made his final appearance in the first Super Cup group match of the season, conceding 3 as visiting Goal United swept the team aside.

The club were delighted to announce the signing of Jules Farrier via the auction market last Thursday. The fee of  £1,650,000 looks like a bargain for a player who should have a base value approaching £ 4,000,000 by the end of next season, assuming the club don't cash in on him at the end of this season.
04/12/2023
Charscot's first home game on their return to the top flight ended up being a disappointing loss although the actual performance has to give the fans hope for the remainder of the season.

Visiting St Joseph's BC were outplayed for long periods but weathered the storm before scoring two second half goals from Josef Dvorak to record the 2-0 road win.

The loss dropped Charscot to bottom spot as one of five sides yet to record a point this season, with the lack of a single goal scored will concern the manager and fans the most at this point.

Manager Rich Grove was frustrated afterwards. "The performance was decent but we need to be far more clinical in both penalty areas, both with our defending and with our finishing, if we want to avoid a season of struggle".

"We face two of the other pointless sides in the next two games so have to try and make the most of the opportunity".
27/11/2023
Charscot started the new season with an opening day visit to Spondon Phoenix FC who finished league runner's up last season.

The team were sluggish at the start and quickly went two down and despite a brave fightback, hitting the bar with their best chance, the team lost 2-0.

The loss places the team 15th after one game.

Manager Rich Grove was disappointed afterwards. "Not an easy start to the season and I feel I got the tactics wrong so have to take some blame. I can only hope we can start our home part of the season better next week with the visit of St Joseph's BC".

With no new arrivals the big surprise was the manager's decision to send Aulis Rytkonen out on loan for the season after a particularly aggressive seasonal debut today.

The draw for the cup see the club travel to Division 3 sides Ynysfawr Athletic on week 10.
20/11/2023
Charscot visited local rivals Callie Athletic for a meaningless match that provided little of consequence as both teams looked tired after a long season.

The goalless draw surprised few with second place already confirmed last week.

Manager Rich Grove was still upbeat afterwards. "It is reassuring to see how good defensively we have been of late and hopefully we can carry that into next season, starting at Spondon Phoenix next week".

"All in all it has been a very good season and the players have done what was needed to return to the top flight. Now it is time to try and do a far better job of actually staying in the top flight".

Another season comes to an end and with it it is time for the Club's season awards.

Joining the Hall of Fame are defender Aldo Duscher and midfielder Sandro Tonali following excellent seasons from each of them.

The Player of the Year award went to Rafael Gordillo for the second season running after he top scored with 11 goals and was a big factor in the team's success.

Winning the Youth award is Trevor Dyche after a great season scoring 39 goals. He will go again in the youth team next season hoping for a second award.

The team were involved in a couple of team records this season. The team replicated their promotion season of 2 seasons ago with zero home draws.

Also the team's 9 clean sheets away from home is a new record for away matches in a season.
13/11/2023
Charscot made the trip to Kilmarnock knowing a win would secure promotion back to the top flight. Anything less and the team would be looking for help in other matches.

The game started badly as the hosts took the lead after just four minutes with a close range tap in.

On 53 minutes Rafael Gordillo scored a spectacular free kick from the edge of the 'D' to level the scores.

Charscot dominated the match but couldn't get the ball into the net and had to settle for the draw.

At the final whistle the fans were already partying as news reached the ground that Beeston Athletic had collapsed 4-0 at Space Cadets, ensuring The Wolverines return to the top flight at the first attempt.

The news got better as Seabourne's goalless draw ensured the club secured second spot with a game to spare, making next week's match at Callie Athletic a meaningless fixture.

Manager Rich Grove was ecstatic afterwards. "What a great performance. We deserved the win but ultimately the point was more than enough and we get a thoroughly deserved promotion, joining our sister club in finishing in the top 3".

"We now need to do a far better job of playing in the Premier Division as we have become a yo-yo team in recent seasons and should be looking for top six at bare minimum".
06/11/2023
Charscot's final home match of the season saw relegation threatened Requiem Shark visit for only the second time in the league.

With so much on the line the visitors went with a defensive set up that for long periods looked like it was going to reward them with a point.

However ex-Charscot player Emiliano Delossantos contrived to slice an attempted clearance into his own net with five minutes left on the clock.

The 1-0 win puts Charscot on the verge of promotion whilst sadly looking like seeing Requiem Shark relegate.

The team now has a 5 point lead over fourth placed Beeston with each side having two away games left in the season and one more win will guarantee promotion.

Manager Rich Grove was relieved afterwards. "Requiem pushed us all the way and I am just thankful we ultimately won the match. We have two hard road matches left and we need to keep fully focused next week to try and confirm promotion rather than risk the last day going badly wrong".
30/10/2023
Charscot travelled to Gleadless United looking to bounce back from last week's loss and put in a hard working performance as they won 2-0.

On the stroke of half time Sandro Tonali scored with a brilliant free kick before substitute Gunter Netzer hit his own spectacular free kick on 76 minutes to double the lead.

The win keeps the team in second as Seabourne City drew to drop to fourth with Beeston winning to move into third place.

Manager Rich Grove was very happy post-match. "That was a much needed win as we try to get over the line and bounce back to the top flight. We are within striking distance and have to try and finish our home season with a win over visiting Requiem Shark next week".

More deals as the squad gets re-shaped with Milivoje Novakovic and  Josef Bican leave for AFC Binfield and trainee teenagers Dean Lorde and Jack Williams arrive.

Leonardo Cilaurren also left the club joining Dep El Celtico.
23/10/2023
Charscot had the opportunity to move very close to promotion today as third placed Seabourne City visited The Blue Silver Stadium with a 5 point gap between the clubs.

Avoiding defeat was the priority and it seemed to make the hosts nervous as the team struggled to match recent performances and lost the game 1-0.

The only goal came from ex-Charscot player Matej Sindelar, whose 20 yard drive ten minutes before half time was the deciding factor despite the hosts going close to an equaliser with a close range volley from Zebeto that hit the bar minutes later.

The loss sees the title vanish, which was never on the cards with Wascisco Red Sox running away with the division.

Now is it probably a 3 horse race for the final two promotion spots as Charscot lead City by 2 points and Beeston by 3 points with four games remaining.

Manager Rich Grove was disappointed afterwards. "Such a let down after a good run the past month. We now have to bounce back immediately and get back to winning ways next week".

The manager moved to bring in another keeper this week ass the tema look for a keeper who can prove truly consistent. The club are delighted to get Juanito Alonso from Rhyl FC for £ 6,300,000. Juanito has won the league in his early career and at only 23 years of age it is hoped he can go on to more success with The Wolverines.
16/10/2023
Charscot travelled to Carnbroe Rovers knowing another win was very much needed to put pressure on the teams below them chasing promotion in a week where leaders Wascisco were likely to promote and take one spot away from everyone.

At half time the team had played well but had nothing to show for their efforts but a dazzling second half saw the team score 4 goals to win in style.

Rafael Gordillo opened the scoring in the 56th minute with an exquisite lob from distance.

A blatant handball gave Zebeto the opportunity to double the lead from the spot, which he did sending the keeper the wrong way.

Substitute Gunter Netzer then made his way on to the pitch and within 16 minutes had doubled the scoreline with a brace. The first was a lob as sublime as Gordillo's before a mazy run was finished off by him with 9 minutes left.

The 4-0 win boosted the team's promotion hopes with 3rd and 4th both dropping points allowing Charscot to go 6 points clear of fourth and 5 points clear of third, who the team welcome to The Blue Silver Stadium next week.

Manager Rich Grove was beaming afterwards. "A great day as results went our way and we put in an exceptional second half performance. We have to remain focused as we welcome fellow promotion rivals Seabourne City next week in a game we have to be looking to win. If we can extend our clean sheet run to five games that will be a lot of the work done".

A few players were rewarded with new contract extensions this week as Aldo Duscher, Levi Colwill, Imre Schlosser, Josef Bican and Aatos Lehtonen all signed on the dotted line.

The draw for next season's Super Cup was made this week with Charscot facing Beeston Athletic, The Academy and Southpool in the group stages.
09/10/2023
After last week's home win it was crucial that the team won again as after this week the team only has home advantage twice in the final six matches.

Mancs F.C have shown some fight of late as they try and get out of the relegation places but today they were ismply outclassed as they managed just one shot on target in the entire match.

Charscot took the lead with a magnificent diving header from Rivellino on 14 minutes.

The result was left in no doubt when Rafael Gordillo headed home on 67 minutes to secure a 2-0 scoreline.

The win moved the team up to second place.

Manager Rich Grove was cautiously optimistic. "This has been a good run of late and we now have a lot of away matches to try and get us over the line and promoted. Next week we go to Carnbroe Rovers who have had a good run recently, albeit against struggling sides. A win is a must".

The manager confirmed the long term future of ace goalscorer Zebeto as he signed a four year extension.
02/10/2023
A return home for two big matches as the team tries to cling on to a promotion spot as the games start to run out.

First up to visit was Real Madrid, whose own season has become focused on the cup after a poor run in the league in recent months.

The match was a cagey affair, decided by a superb shot from Rivellino on 20 minutes.

The win puts Charscot level on points with Seabourne City, with Beeston Athletic just a point behind in fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove was relieved afterwards. "That was a much needed home win after we have been poor of late at The Blue Silver Stadium. We welcome Mancs FC next week who we beat 4-0 earlier this season in our first ever meeting and another win is very much needed".

Plans continue on the future of the squad as two players arrive in this week.

As part of a multi-team deal Jeno Vincze arrives from Andelain. At present he is expected to be at the club just as a youth player but any success for Koller, as a slower player, may change Jeno's plans.

More certain of a future at the club, albeit he needs more training, is Pedro Cea, who arrives via the auction market for £ 23,000,000. This is the eighth highest fee paid by the club in it's history so patience will be shown to his development, with him expected to go out on loan when he turns 18 at the end of next season.
25/09/2023
A trip to local rivals Space Cadets has been a pretty miserable experience for a long time for Charscot as they have lost 6 of the last 7 at The Observatory and won just once.

After 3 consecutive away wins Charscot had an improved confidence and it was enough to secure a point in a goalless draw.

The point keeps Charscot in third place but there are four teams chasing two spots and the team will have to improve if they want to promote and the team simply have to win the next two matches, both at home.

Manager Rich Grove was satisfied afterwards. "That was a good point but it will mean nothing if we can't get back to winning ways at home next week against Real and then Mancs the week after".

Behind the scenes a new arrival is coming in from Andelain next week, just for one season before returning with Andelain lacking training spots. It is hoped he will be joined by a second player via the auction market with the club nervously looking at the market for the next 3 days after submitting the leading bid today.
18/09/2023
After a superb result last week Charscot came back down to earth this week with a pitiful home performance against a struggling Colwyn Bay side to lose and see the gap to fourth shrink.

The team huffed and puffed and got a lead with a toe poked shot by Alberto Spencer on 39 minutes, a lead the team held for a mere 60 seconds.

With the game petering out towards a draw the visitors got a goal with 3 minutes left to take the 3 points.
The result leaves Charscot 3 points ahead of fourth place and now needing to get some sort of form going at home before the season implodes.

Manager Rich Grove was angry afterwards. "Absolute garbage. We simply have to beat the struggling sides on our own patch if we want to promote and that performance was simply not good enough".

A move was made to the squad as Andrei Vasilevskiy left to join Dep El Celtico whilst the manager confirmed that Karl Koller will be staying at the club past this season as the team experiments with trying out a slower player with the faster players being so poor.
11/09/2023
An enormous match today as Charscot travelled to fourth placed Athletico Academy knowing a loss would see the hosts take Charscot's place in the top 3.

The team put in a professional performance, keeping the hosts to wayward shots from distance on the whole as The Wolverines won 1-0.

The only goal came from Rafael Gordillo who scored a tap in after a scramble in the penalty area on 31 minutes.

The win puts Charscot 5 points clear of fourth place with two thirds of the season played.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was so important. We now need to keep winning, having won four of our last five matches, and try to put even more distance between us and the teams below us".
04/09/2023
Having got back into the promotion places Charscot faced two hard matches against two promotion rivals and the first test today was failed.

Not a huge surprise as local visitors Wascisco Red Sox have outclassed everyone else and are all but promoted already with 11 games to go.

Today's result was decided by a Salinas penalty just past the half hour mark in a match that the visitors controlled throughout.

The loss drops Charscot to third on goal difference and just 2 points ahead of next week's rivals Athletico Academy who Charscot visit.

Manager Rich Grove had little to say afterwards. "Not impressed at all and we have to play much better next week, simple as that".

The team lost another player to injury this week as Gunter Netzer is the latest to end up on the treatment table and the club will be recalling Aulis Rytkonen next week from his loan with his hard work on his skills finished.
28/08/2023
On the back of two wins Charscot travelled to bottom side Carnbroe United knowing a win was a must with matches against Wascisco and Athletico in the next fortnight.

United are realistically relegated and Charscot put in a solid performance to win 2-0 and move into second place.

Valentino Van Drunen announced his retirement at the end of the season before the match and took 12 minutes to score his first goal since his return to the club as he toe poked in from close range.

United rarely threatened but the match was still in the balance until Rafael Gordillo scored with 2 minutes left on the clock with another tap in.

Manager Rich Grove was pleased overall. "That was a solid performance as we approach the biggest fortnight of the season. We now go into the next few games knowing a couple of draws will keep us involved and winning a game would be superb".

Alvaro Gines signed a contract extension today and it is hoped he can prove more threatening in the attacking third next season.
21/08/2023
Charscot welcomed Ziaste Nequeno to The Blue Silver Stadium needing to beat their local rivals as they looked to to extend their winning run to two.

The team thankfully put in a strong performance eventually running out 3-1 winners.

Gordillo's close range goal on 18 minutes was equalised on 40 minutes by Ventnor.

Sandro Tonali hit a fantastic volley for his second goal of the season from twenty yards on 59 minutes.

Rivellino completed the scoring 15 minutes later with a tap in.

The win moved the team back into third place with a crucial match at the bottom club waiting for the team next week.

Manager Rich Grove was happy afterwards. "That was a good performance against a tricky team and we must now follow that up with a win next week at the bottom club if we want to be promotion contenders".
14/08/2023
Charscot travelled to Beeston Athletic knowing the season was very much in the balance after an awful recent run of four defeats in five destroyed their lead in the promotion places and sent them back into the pack.

A win would keep the team in the fight and create a gap on Athletic, a loss would push Charscot towards mid table obscurity.

Despite his fitness issues Valentino Van Drunen was given a start on his return to the club and he rewarded the faith by drawing the foul that led to Rafael Gordillo scoring from the penalty spot with the last kick of the first half.

In a game of few chances the visitors scored a second as time expired with a drive from Rivellino to secure a 2-0 road win.

The win moved the team back to fourth place and keeps the team in the promotion hunt for now.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted. "That was just what we needed, an excellent win at a very good local rival. If we don't turn it into a winning run though it will be meaningless as we simply have to win our upcoming matches".

In the Super Cup the team won 3-2 at Vanbrugh Royals but exited at the semi-final stage 4-3 on aggregate.
07/08/2023
Charscot continued their recent abysmal form as the team lost their local derby at home to Callie Athletic 1-0 to drop down to fifth place, leapfrogged by Callie who move into fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove was furious afterwards. "I have had enough of this pathetic group of losers. They are simply rubbish and incapable of playing the game to their supposed skill levels. I would happily ship the lot of them out of the club right now".

After recent weeks have been so poor the manager was true to his word and started making moves.

A big multi player deal sees Klaus Fischer, former youth trainee, return to the club from Dep El Celtico with Kylian Mbappe going in the opposite direction.

To balance the deal out two youth mids are leaving Charscot for Ziaste and Wascisco towards the end of the season with each club also sending a midfielder along to Dep El and Wascisco respectively.

Also arriving in a surprise move is club legend Valentino Van Drunen from Celyn Coyotes of the WS via the auction market for a nominal fee. Valentino is expected to retire at the end of the season but it is hoped that he can still be of use to the team in the second half of this season.
31/07/2023
Charscot finally felt the pressure of their weak away record as the need to keep winning their home games got to the players in a performance that literally plumbed the depths of ineptitude today.

Visiting Kilmarnock found Charscot lacking in all departments as they cruised to an easy 3-0 victory that was both thoroughly deserved but also far too easy.

The loss leaves Charscot just one point clear of fourth place with a number of much harder fixtures coming up compared to the recent fixtures, which Charscot have lost 3 of 4 of.

Manager Rich Grove was fuming post-match. "That was inexplicably bad. We were awful in all departments throughout and not a single player is exempt from criticism today. It is very worrying as we simply have to turn things around now or else we will not be returning to the top flight at the end of the season".

The team got a tiny bit of pride back as the team won 1-0 at Abergarwed Athletic to move into the Super Cup semi-finals, where the team faces local rivals Vanbrugh Royals over two legs.

Behind the scenes midfielder Milot Rashica enters the final days of his time on the auction market, with the current bid just north of £ 22mill. The manager may end up sending more to the market if performances such as this week's become the norm.
24/07/2023
Charscot continue to struggle away from home as they went to struggling Requiem Shark this week and lost 3-1.

The team came back from a deficit as Captain Imre Schlosser scored a spectacular goal goal just pass the half hour mark but the team still contrived to lose two further goals in the second half to lose and drop to third.

The gap to fourth position is down to four points and the team need to maintain their 100% home league record as they spend two weeks at home.

Manager Rich Grove was very disappointed. "Just not good enough. We should be winning against teams struggling for form but tactically things clearly need changing away from home".

In the Super Cup the team drew 1-1 with Abergarwed Athletic in the first leg of the quarter-final stage.
17/07/2023
Charscot returned home looking to put last week's poor result behind them as they hosted mid-table Gleadless United.

United have a reputation for scoring goals so a clean sheet was an enormous boost from today's match, which The Wolverines ultimately won 2-0.

A goal early in each half was enough with Rafael Gordillo hitting a fantastic shot from the edge of the area five minutes in to open the scoring.

Zebeto doubled the lead in the first minute of the second half with a beautiful 30 yard chip over the keeper.

The win keeps the team in third place and with a seven point gap to fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted. "That was a very good win and results elsewhere have put us in a very good position after a dozen matches. A lot of work is still needed but the signs so far have been good. If we can just stop the road losses we will have a good season".
10/07/2023
Charscot made the trip to promotion rivals Seabourne City hoping to at least take a point.

However, their road woes continued as they put in a dreary performance and lost 1-0 thanks to ex-player Henrik Larsson's drive on the hour mark.

The team stay second but with a reduced 4 point gap to fourth place.

Manager Rich Grove had little to say afterwards. "Our road performances have got to improve or else we will fail in our promotion ambitions as we cannot expect to win every home match".

The team moved on to the quarter finals of the WPL Super Cup after a 1-1 draw at home to Melyncourt Dynamos sent the team through 2-1 on aggregate.

The manager moved to reduce the squad size down, moving Milot Rashica to the auction market.
03/07/2023
Charscot welcomes Carnbroe Rovers looking to maintain their 100% record at home in the league.

The team got an early boost as Rivellino kneed the ball home after just 3 minutes and despite having the better of the play that proved to be the only goal of the match.

The win moved Charscot to within a point of top spot and six points clear of fourth placed Seabourne City, who the team travel to next week.

Manager Rich Grove was happy post-match. "It was important after last week's cup exit to return to winning ways immediately as we face two very hard matches in the next fortnight. Hopefully we can get something from the trip to Seabourne next week and keep our top 3 position".

In the Super Cup Charscot won 1-0 at Melyncourt Dynamos through a Zebeto penalty.
26/06/2023
Charscot did not get a favourable cup draw as they welcomed St Joseph's BC to The Blue Silver Stadium.

The team put in a valiant effort, eventually succumbing 3-2 in extra time.

It started brightly as Roger Piantoni kneed home from close range on 3 minutes.

An equaliser a quarter of an hour later didn't slow down the hosts who retook the lead through Rafael Gordillo's header just before the hour mark.

12 minutes later BC equalised and 6 minutes into extra time they secured a harsh winner.

Manager Rich Grove was defiant afterwards. "That was a quality performance against a top side and if we can play like that for the remained of the season we should be close to promotion."
19/06/2023
Charscot made the trip to Mancs FC needing to rebound from a harsh loss on the road last week.

The team put in a far more clinical performance this time as the team took advantage of the chances created to run out 4-0 winners.

Zebeto, in a man of the match performance, scored tow in 8 minutes , the first a penalty and then a close range tap in.

Demetri Lazar scored an embarrassing own goal just before half time to kill any chance of a comeback.

On 58 minutes Aldo Duscher scored from close range to complete the scoring.

The win keeps the team second, four points off of top spot and four ahead of the chasing pack as the team breaks for the cup next week.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was far more efficient. I would rather have this sort of performance than the likes of last week's one where we completely dominate and fail miserably in front of goal. We get a week off so to speak with the cup match next".

In the Super Cup the team progressed without kicking a ball and will play Melyncourt Dynamos in the second round in a fortnight.

New arrival Andrei Vasilevskiy signed a one year contract this week.
12/06/2023
Charscot visited Real Madrid looking to turn around what has been a poor run of results at Real in recent seasons.

The team put in an excellent performance but contrived to lose 2-0 despite dominating.

Manager Rich Grove was frustrated afterwards. "We simply have to win games we control so completely and our away form has to improve. We will not promote this season if we can't get the wins on the road we need, never mind deserve".

The loss keeps the team in second place, now three points ahead of fourth place.

More deals completed this week as Andrei Vasilevskiy arrived from Chaddesden Celtic and Julian Rijkhoff arrived as part of a larger deal via Andelain.

In the Super Cup the team recorded a 2-1 win at FC Aztec to give the team a solid chance of progressing to the second round as one of the best runner's up. The picture should be a lot clearer after next week's catch up games in the tournament.

A bad week in training as the team lost two players for the next month with sprained ankles. Sandro Tonali, a first team fixture, and Cesar Cueto, just recalled to fight for a fist team spot, will both now not figure in the manager's plans this month.
05/06/2023
Charscot welcomes local rivals Space Cadets for an enormous match at The Blue Silver Stadium this week.

Charscot were defending a 100% home record whilst the Cadets had yet to lose a game this season.

The home side dominated the game for long periods and deservedly took the lead through a Zebeto drive from close range on 52 minutes.

This shook the visitors into action and they equalised 8 minutes later with a magnificent header from Gregorius.

The hosts continued to dominate and ultimately got their reward with two late goals.

Rafael Gordillo scored a sublime goal with a lob from 30 yards with 8 minutes left before substitute Gunter Netzer did the same three minutes later.

The win keeps Charscot second but importantly there is a four point gap to fourth place at this early stage.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted. "That was an exceptional performance against a top quality side and to get a third consecutive win and edge a little further clear in the promotion positions is great but we need to remember that we are barely reaching the quarter way mark in the season".

A deal has been agreed in a three way deal that sees Charscot receive a new foreign player next week from Andelain with Andelain receiving a foreign player from Wascisco. This deal finally balances out a deal the club did with Wascisco last season.
29/05/2023
Charscot made the trip to Colwyn Bay for the second time in the club's history looking to at least replicate the goalless draw from two seasons ago.

Bay sat in third place with Charscot in fourth prior to kick off as The Wolverines faced another top side to start the season.

The Wolverines put in an excellent performance, racing into a three goal lead before half time to cement a resounding 3-0 win.

Rivellino helped himself to a brace, scoring a drive on 24 minutes and a superb chip 14 minutes later.

In-between Zebeto bundled home from close range as each striker reached 3 goals for the season after 6 games.

The win moved Charscot up to second place as they face another top side with the visit of fifth placed Space Cadets next week.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was an excellent performance against a side that has been a consistent promotion challenger in recent seasons and if we maintain those levels we won't go far wrong".

The team disappointing lost 2-0 at Benidorm in the Super Cup leaving the team requiring 2 wins from the final 2 games to have a chance at progression out of the group stage.

The team moved to bring in a new keeper with Andrei Vasilevskiy due to arrive from Chaddesden Celtic of the Opal. The transfer has been delayed a week but should complete next Monday.

Charscot returned home for a promotion battle with Athletico Academy.

Athletico sat in 5th with Charscot 6th but the hosts had the edge having won all four previous meetings between the clubs in this fixture.

All the action came early on as the sides shared three goals in the opening 14 minutes.

Imre Schlosser's tap in on 3 minutes gave The Wolverines the lead, with Falco tying the score three minutes later.

Rafael Gordillo got what proved to be the winner with a fine shot from twenty yards eight minutes later.

The 2-1 win moved Charscot up to fourth, just adrift of third placed Colwyn Bay, who the team visit next week, by one goal on goal difference.

Manager Rich Grove was happy afterwards. "That was a much better performance and on another day we could have scored a lot more. We need to replicate our home performances on the road as our away form is still lacking. Next week will be a big challenge and an opportunity to show we have what it takes to promote".

In the Super Cup the team reached the halfway point in the group stage with a 3-2 home win over FC Aztec that moved the team into second place.

Charscot made the short trip to Wascisco Red Sox in a battle of undefeated sides and by the final whistle only one side could make that claim as the hosts ripped The Wolverines apart.

A goal four minutes in saw Charscot trail early and the hosts never looked in any danger as they run out to a 3-0 victory that moved them up to second place and sent Charscot plummeting to sixth place.

Manager Rich Grove was fuming after the match. "That was pitiful. We are a better side and their manager is hopeless so to lose 3-0 in that fashion is simply unacceptable. If we can't turn things around quickly the season will be a disaster".

In the Super Cup the team drew again, this time 1-1 with Ynysfawr Athletic at The Blue Silver Stadium.

Two new arrivals as the team welcomed two youths from the auction market.

Jozsef Hada will hopefully have a long career at the club as the young keeper arrives from Blades FC from the Elizabethan league for a fee of £ 8,525,000.

Youth midfielder Leonardo Cilaurren joins from Gleadless United for a fee of £ 5,828,000 from Gleadless United.

Leonardo's future will very much depend on whether the manager ultimately looks to use slower players in the first team, a decision that will be made at the end of this season.

Charscot returned home to host a struggling Carnbroe United side and the timing of the match was clearly advantageous as the hosts recorded a convincing 2-0 win.

It took Charscot 58 minutes to take the lead, provided by a solo goal from Rivellino.

19 minutes later Sandro Tonali scored his first goal for the club in his third appearance with a fine header.

The win moved the team up to second place after three games.

Manager Rich Grove was pleased afterwards. "That was a good strong home performance, and one we need to replicate a lot this season if we want to return to the top flight. We go to Wascisco next week for what will be a very hard match. If we can start winning on the road it will take a lot of the pressure off".

A new season's Super Cup competition started with the side drawing 1-1 at home to Benidorm F.C. The goal from Gunter Netzer late on saved the team in this opening match of six.

In transfer news there were some moves on the auction market. Firstly Lubo Moravcik was placed on as his opportunities had become limited as younger players got the nod ahead of him and no suitable swap deal could be found.

The manager also made a couple of bids on players, winning a youth mid who will arrive next Monday. The team also has the highest bid on a youth keeper who sells tomorrow.

The first away match of a new season saw Charscot travel to local rivals Ziaste Nequeno.

The club has struggled in derbies against Ziaste Nequeno and despite an excellent start the team had to battle back to rescue a point.

Zebeto opened the scoring from close range in just 34 seconds but that lead had gone by half time as Hughes and Sani scored two in 2 minutes to give the visitors the lead.

Within seconds of the restart the scores were level as Aldo Duscher hit an exquisite lob to make it 2-2.

The draw sees the team in fifth position after two matches.

Manager Rich Grove was brief post-match. "Frustrating match as once again we can't see Ziaste off and have to settle for a point. Hopefully we can return to winning ways next week with a home match against struggling Carnbroe United".

One piece of business this week saw Club Captain Hakan Mild leave for Real Madrid with a foreign player arriving and joining the youth team.

Hakan's career at the club started strongly but had gone off the boil and he needed a fresh start.

With his departure the manager announced a new club captain as Imre Schlosser was given the role, a role he will hopefully have for the next decade.

A new season back in Division One started with a local derby against fellow relegated side Beeston Athletic.

The home fans turned up hoping to see the promotion favourites, according to some, record an opening day home win and they ultimately weren't disappointed although it didn't come without a late scare.

The team took just 22 seconds to open the scoring as Rafael Gordillo scored a brilliant volley from 15 yards and the lead was quickly doubled on 26 minutes as Zebeto chipped the keeper from the edge of the area.

The second half continued with home dominance and ten minutes into the half Imre Schlosser headed home from six yards to make it 3-0 and seemingly end the game as a contest.

Beeston weren't going to give up though and made a brave battle of it, helped by some dubious keeping from Rene Higuita on his club debut.

On 69 minutes Higuita was slow to come out and Lukasz Teodorczyk forced the ball home from close range.

With four minutes left a shot from 20 yards from Amine Harit went through Higuita's hands and the match was suddenly 3-2.

With the final whistle a relived team exited the pitch to find themselves fourth after the opening round of matches.

Manager Rich Grove was content post-match. "Our attacking football was a sight to behold and we must maintain those levels going forward and if we do we will be a threat to every team in this division. On the other side of the coin the defending was lacking at time. Rene had a debut to forget and he may need more time to adjust before playing again for the club. We will see."

The draw for the first round of the cup was made and the club face a hard challenge as top flight St Joseph's BC will visit The Blue Silver Stadium.

Behind the scenes Bernard Voorhoof and Rafael Gordillo signed contract extensions before the opening match of the season.

Charscot finished the season with two home matches, a win in either would have kept them up. However, instead they conceded four in each game and pitifully relegated.

This week's visitors A.F.C Binfield made easy work of the Charscot defence with the only home highlight being a Gordillo equaliser on 50 minutes before the team collapsed.

The loss left the team 2 points from safety in 15th place and ruing the messed up week of the season that would have kept the team up if the result had been a win.

Manager Rich Grove was angry afterwards. This season has been a truly abysmal one and we have finished where we deserved to ultimately and the players at this club need to have a long hard look at themselves and determine if they have what it takes to make a success of their careers. I will not put up with more rubbish like this season and we have to do everything to bounce straight back to the top flight at the first attempt".

With the end of the season it is awards time again. The manager declared no entries into the Club's Hall of Fame after such a poor season so it was left to the supporters to award their player and young player of the year.

Taking the first team award is Rafael Gordillo, winning for the second time, as he was the one player to truly perform this season.

The Youth Player award went to Aatos Lehtonen who came on considerably this season to put himself on the verge of first team action next season.

This season saw a club record broken and another one tied. The 10 home goals scored tied a club low for home matches previously recorded in 2007/8.

The really poor record though was 15 games lost for the third time in the club's history and the second time in 3 seasons.
10/04/2023
Charscot returned home for the final two matches knowing a win would put the team in an excellent position to stay up and a loss would all but doom them to relegation.

The team put in an awful first 45 as visiting Whitebrook Rangers allayed their own relegation fears as they strode into a four goal lead they were never going to relinquish.

The second half was fairly meaningless with the damage done and most of the fans had left the ground with some 20 minutes left to play.

The loss drops Charscot to 15th and even a win next week against AFC Binfield, second in the league, may not be enough, not that it is likely based on this showing.

"Pathetic" Manager Rich Grove declared afterward. "Utterly pathetic. We never showed any fight or desire and deserved the humiliation we received. That is as bad a performance in a single half as we have produced in years".

At this point the manager left the press conference declaring he had nothing more to say.
03/04/2023
Charscot were hoping to repeat last week's excellent road win as they visited Beeston Athletic for a local derby between two of the relegation candidates.

Charscot's record at Beeston has been awful in recent times with 6 defeats from their last seven visits and today was no better as tow first half goals were enough to see The Wolverines lose 2-0.

The loss leaves the team outside the bottom 3 purely on goal difference and one of five clubs on the same points with two games remaining.

Manager Rich Grove was angry post match. "Our record is poor at Grove Farm and we now return home for our final two games of the season needing four points to be sure of safety."

Behind the scenes Alvin Havilland left the club within a week of arriving whilst Donnarumma and Mbappe signed one year extensions. It is felt these will be their last contracts at the club unless they prove themselves to be invaluable next season.
27/03/2023
Charscot made the trip to Shaolin F.C desperate to get a win with games running out.

The Wolverines put in their best performance of the season so far as they tore through Shaolin with three first half goals before shutting up shop in the second half to record a convincing 3-0 win.

It took just three minutes for Novakovic  to score a spectacular 30 yarder.

On 25 minutes Zebeto headed in from close range and eight minutes later Rivellino finished the scoring after breaking through to slot home.

The win moved the team up 3 places to 11th but with just one point separating so many side there is no reason to think the battle is over.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "That was just what we needed. An excellent performance. We now have to replicate that at Beeston Athletic next week and if we can record another win our position could look a lot better".

Deals completed as Thorbjorn Svenssen left via the auction market, joining Windmill Rovers of the BS League.

A number of youth players have their futre set after enquiries from a couple of managers last week.
20/03/2023
Charscot welcomed Balham Town to The Blue Silver Stadium knowing a home win was needed to drag Town towards the relegation battle.

It started badly as the hosts were a goal down in 12 minutes.

Roger Piantoni equalised just before the half hour mark with a brilliant 30 yard shot.

The game itself still edged towards the visitors though who continued to create more chances and the point gained from a 1-1 draw was a tad fortuitous.

The draw leaves Charscot in 14th and running out of games to save themselves.

Manager Rich Grove was unimpressed. "That wasn't a good performance from us and the only bright spot is we held on for a draw. However, if we can't get back to winning ways immediately we will be relegating without any doubt".
13/03/2023
Charscot travelled to The Academy knowing a loss to the leaders was likely and so it proved as the team lost 2-1 despite getting a brief hope when Josef Bican equalised on 29 minutes.

However, ex-Charscot player Mahmoud El-Khatib's brace gave the Champions-elect the win in a very open game.

The result leaves Charscot still 14th, and with the next four matches against fellow strugglers the season the future of the club may be determined very soon.

Manager Rich Grove was brief post-match. "The result was as expected, on another day we could have got a result but it wasn't meant to be sadly. We simply have to start winning matches as we face other strugglers now".

Behind the scenes the manager pulled the trigger on a three way set of deals as the team looked to offload some of the trainees whilst providing better support to the current first team.

Arriving at the club are two ex-Charscot players, Milot Rashica and Sandro Tonali.

Milot only left earlier this season but has returned hoping to add to a mere 3 appearances as a substitute.

Sandro was a youth player at the club, winning two youth league titles, but has yet to play a first team match for the club.

Sandro arrives from Real Madrid, who in return are receiving youth Walter Nausch and Carlos Caszely and Oliver Burke.

Real in turn are also sending Marcuss Schmitz to Dep El, allowing Milot to make the move to The Blue Silver Stadium.

In a separate deal Charscot are taking a youth from Ziaste to balance out past deals between the two sides.
06/03/2023
Charscot welcomed an off form Callie Athletic confident of recording a much needed win in their ongoing relegation battle. However, issues at league headquarters meant a failure in tactical instructions cost the team dear.

Instead of a win, Charscot found themselves two down at half time and needed a brace from Gordillo to save the team a point.

Manager Rich Grove was fuming afterwards. "This will probably relegate us so I am not going to say any more at this point as I am simply too angry".

The draw leaves Charscot in 14th and facing a guaranteed loss to league leaders The Academy next week that will deepen the team's troubles.
27/02/2023
Charscot travelled to Long Eaton Archers, sitting in the top 6, knowing the team had to maintain their recent upturn in form having won back to back games.

Archers had been slightly off form of late but made the game very hard and it took a late equaliser to secure a point.

Long Eaton took an early lead on six minutes with Novakovic scoring a solo goal three minutes later to tie things up.

With 9 minutes left the hosts took the lead again and Roger Piantoni had to bundle the ball home with five minutes left to leave the scoreline level at 2-2.

The draw drops the team down a place into 14th and back into a relegation spot.

Manager Rich Grove was determined afterwards. "This is a mess but it is in our own hands, we have to literally play all the sides around us in the coming weeks and we cannot afford to keep dropping points and have to win next week when Callie Athletic visit us".

Midfielder Thorbjorn Svenssen was placed on the auction market today as his opportunities became more limited and we he requested a move and a fresh challenge.
20/02/2023
Charscot looked to build on the win from week 22 and the visit of Spartan Wolf gave the team the chance to drag Spartan into the relegation battle.

In a tense match the hosts won courtesy of Imre Schlosser's spectacular free kick from ten yards outside the are on 26 minutes.

With results going badly for Charscot elsewhere the win saw the club move up one place to 13th.

Manager Rich Grove was delighted afterwards. "It's been a couple of months since we last won back to back games and we really needed the win today. We now face a crucial match at Long Eaton Archers, who are safely out of the relegation battle but off form in recent weeks. Another win next week is desperately needed".

Behind the scenes more deals were confirmed and with more players moving in and out of the club in the next couple of weeks the squad should have some fresh faces for next season, hopefully for life in the top flight.
13/02/2023
Charscot made the trip to local rivals Rivendell knowing another loss could see the team drop so far adrift that relegation would be almost certain.

The Rivendell manager went for a cautious approach with five at the back, a move that gave the Charscot manager an enormous boost as his team love playing 5 at the back teams. That was seen to be the case as The Wolverines roared to a 3-0 road win that keeps the team in the fight to stay up.

Imre Schlosser tapped home on 22 minutes before Rafael Gordillo celebrated his return to the attack with a brace to seal the three points.

His first on 36 minutes was bundled in from close range whilst his second on 61 minutes was an exquisite lob from outside the area.

Results elsewhere did not go the club's way as most of the strugglers picked up points meaning the team only moved up one place to 14th.

Manager Rich Grove was very emotional afterwards. "Such a relief to get the win after an awful run of losses that have put us in deep trouble. We need to build on this and try and get a proper winning run going if we want to escape the relegation battle".

Behind the scenes moves started to be completed as a long planned deal was finally completed as Alvaro Gines arrived in what was a four for one deal with the final one of the four, Xiang Xhi, moving this week.

Also arriving for Rial were Carlos Caszely and the striker who will be immediately sold on to Dep El Celtico next week completing a busy period for the club.

More deals are expected as the manager looks to give the squad a fresh look after under performing so badly this season.
06/02/2023
Charscot are in free-fall and the visit of high flying Prestatyn Town was only ever going to go one way  - the visitors winning.

They did, 1-0, leaving Charscot in deep trouble on a run of 7 losses and having only scored one goal in their last 7.

The team remain 15th with most rivals not taking advantage.

Manager Rich Grove was angry afterwards. "I have had enough of this group of players. So many of them simply don't do anything useful despite allegedly having the talent. I would happily get rid of most of them tomorrow if there were reasonable offers made to us".

One player did leave this week as Hector Rial left to go to Dropship FC. Two players are arriving over the coming week for him with one of them being moved on immediately.
30/01/2023
Charscot have made losing an art form, coming into this week with four consecutive losses that have plummeted the team down and into the relegation places.

This week a new low for the season as the team managed to lose two games and drop to a season low 15th.

The manager made the decision to focus on the league match at St Joseph's BC. This proved a mistake as despite the Wolverines dominating BC the hosts managed to win 2-0 with their only two shots on target.

In the cup the team travelled to Requiem Shark and after a hard fought battle a last minute goal by ex-charscot player Zizinho sent the hosts through to the quarter-finals.

Manager Rich Grove was very unhappy afterwards. "Our inability to score or keep clean sheets is frankly embarrassing. I made a mistake with our formation this week, little doubt about that, but we simply have to make the most of the chances we create. Relegation will be certain if we don't start winning matches VERY soon".

The team now hosts Prestatyn Town, second in the league and looking strong, next week for a match that looks like another defeat.
23/01/2023
Another week another loss as Charscot controlled large periods of their match at home to Spondon Phoenix but again could not find the net or keep a clean sheet.

The 2-0 loss combined with all the worst possible scorelines elsewhere in the division saw The Wolverines plummet 3 places and into the relegation spots. Thoroughly deserved sadly off the back of now four straight losses.

Manager Rich Grove was unimpressed post match. "Our team has looked poor and we now face two games next week as we travel for a very hard match at St Joseph's BC as well as a very hard cup tie at Requiem Shark. The only good news is the return of Zebeto finally from a long term injury".
16/01/2023
Charscot made the trip to Longfield K.L.F lacking confidence in a season that has seen the team go on the road and consistently lose.

Today was no different as despite going in at half time leading the team still lost an even match 3-1.

Imre Schlosser's 40th minute tap in was of little consequence as the team failed to perform in the second half.

The loss dropped the team to 11th place and still 3 points above the drop zone.

Manager Rich Grove had little to say afterwards. "Just not good enough. Our away form needs correcting before it is too late and we now return home and simply have to beat Spondon next week".
09/01/2023
Charscot welcomed Rhyl F.C to The Blue Silver Stadium desperate for a win to try and get away from the relegation battle they have become a full part of this season

The team put in an excellent display but their shooting let them down badly and by half time the team was two down and the match was over.

The 2-0 loss leaves Charscot tenth still but only a win above the relegation spots.

The team bounced back well as they went to fellow top flight side Callie Athletic and won 2-0.

After wasting a number of first half chances Rivellino's precise chip from distance and Alberto Spencer's sidefoot from close range gave the Wolverines a 2-0 road win and a place in the third round draw next week.

Manager Rich Grove had mixed feelings over the matches. "The priority is always to stay up at the very least so losing another league game is a worrying trend, but it was good to stay in the cup and hopefully we can take our cup form into our upcoming league matches".
02/01/2023 Charscot visited A.F.C Binfield, a top quality side chasing a top 3 finish and it showed as The Wolverines road woes continued with a 2-0 loss despite having the majority of the game.

Wayward finishing cost the visitors dearly as a goal after 5 minutes from ex-Charscot player Faas Wilkes and a 72nd minute penalty consigned Charscot to another away loss.

The team remain in tenth place, four points above the relegation zone with back to back league games against last season's title rivals in the immediate future along with a derby cup tie.

Manager Rich Grove was disappointed afterwards. "We need to take our chances in front of goal., We are missing Zebeto, who remains injured, but we should still have enough in this line up to score goals".
